Maison Francis Kurkdjian
Maison Francis Kurkdjian, founded in 2009 by renowned perfumer Francis Kurkdjian and Marc Chaya, embodies the artistry of luxury French perfumery with a contemporary twist. The collection is designed as a “fragrance wardrobe,” offering a wide array of emotions through scents that balance tradition with modern expression. It emphasizes purity, sophistication, and timeless elegance while exploring new dimensions of olfactory creation.
Francis Kurkdjian, celebrated for his precision and creativity, has had an extraordinary career. He gained early fame at 24 by composing the iconic fragrance Le Mâle for Jean Paul Gaultier, a groundbreaking scent in the industry. Instead of resting on his laurels, Kurkdjian chose to pursue new possibilities, establishing his bespoke perfume workshop in 2001 and working with prestigious fashion designers and iconic brands like Dior, Guerlain, and Saint Laurent. His collaborations with artists like Sophie Calle and his involvement in sensory art installations reflect his mission to break down boundaries between the senses.
Guided by a vision of olfactory innovation, the Maison has gained recognition for its exquisite craftsmanship and imaginative approach to perfume. Kurkdjian’s work extends beyond traditional fragrance-making, with his installations and master classes taking place in renowned art institutions worldwide, including the Grand Palais and the Palace of Versailles. With a dedication to creating a sensory journey, the Maison continues to push the boundaries of scent, making fragrance an experience of art and emotion.
