Brand

Scott McClintock

Scott McClintock, son of Jessica McClintock, joined her company in 1982, and expanded her brand's offerings to include distinct clothing lines with the creation of Scott McClintock Dresses and Scott McClintock Sport lines. These new lines complemented the existing Jessica McClintock collections, contributing to the brand's growth and success. Scott's labels catered to diverse customer needs, further solidifying the brand's presence in the fashion industry. Jessica McClintock began with a single-line clothing company and expanded it into an internationally recognized brand. She initially focused on "romance" in her designs, and her bridal, junior, and children's collections gained popularity worldwide, including in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. In 1979, she introduced two new lines: Gunne Sax for girls and a contemporary line under her own name. These successful lines allowed her to open her first retail store in San Francisco in 1981. By the mid-1990s, Jessica McClintock had established 41 boutiques and achieved notable sales figures, with her designs available in department stores worldwide. The expansion under Scott's influence played a key role in the brand's international reach and popularity.
