Paloma Picasso perfume & cologne

Fashion designer and businesswoman Paloma Picasso was born in 1949 in Vallaurius, France. She is the daughter of artists Pablo Picasso and Françoise Gilot. At first, Paloma Picasso hesitated to enter the world of design. She did not want to be compared to her father, nor did she relish the unavoidable notoriety his name would provide. However, once she began to show the jewelry she created for Zolotas of Greece in 1971, critics were genuinely impressed. The success of the pieces Picasso produced for Tiffany & Company encouraged Picasso to design and market items ranging from fashion accessories to china. These items, including eyewear, fragrances, cosmetics, and leather goods, are identified by their bold shapes and brilliant colors. Her face is just as easily recognized. Posing in glossy magazine advertisements with her perfume, the designer has been described as "her own best model." At an early age, she was the subject of many of her father's works, including Paloma with an Orange and Paloma in Blue. Eventually, she turned to the field of fashion design and started her own company and brand, such as her eponymous perfume and a line of evening wear. She also designs jewelry for Tiffany & Co. Paloma currently lives in the Lake Geneva region of Switzerland with her husband, Dr. Eric Thévenet. Perfume History Her first fragrance for women, Mon Parfum, was launched in Europe in 1984. Neither naive nor innocent, the Mon Parfum scent is, as Paloma says, "a perfume for women, not girls." Other women's fragrances include, Tentations, an expansive Oriental blend presented in hues of red and black, similar to her original signature fragrance. The bottle also bears an intriguing filigree motif. Introduced in 1992, her Minotaure for Men cologne is a sharp oriental woody fragrance. The cologne features a blend of fresh and sparkling oriental, with low notes of sandalwood and patchouli.
