The story of Wallis Simpson and King Edward VIII is one of the most famous royal love stories in history, marked by romance, controversy, and sacrifice. Wallis Simpson, an American socialite, became the center of international attention when King Edward VIII, who ascended the British throne in 1936, fell deeply in love with her.
