ADIDAS COLOGNE Original Signature Vintage Classic by Quintessence Inc.

This bottle of Adidas Cologne was produced between 1990 and 1992, the years that Quintessence Inc held the license and managed the production, before Coty acquired the license in 1992.

Very rare, this vintage splash is brand new in box, though the box has wear and tear. Please see the photos.

This bottle was purchased from Caldor in Kingston, NY in the early 90s.

Adidas Cologne

Skin, body and mind are the strongest assets of athletes. Adidas cologne and fragrances aim to elevate performance and self-expression to help athletes make a difference in their game, their life and their community.

Revlon first held the license for Adidas fragrances and launched the first Adidas cologne in the 1970s. In 1977, Beecham Cosmetics, which later became part of the Beecham Group, acquired the license for Adidas cologne. This marked the beginning of their involvement in producing fragrances under the Adidas brand name. Beecham continued to produce and market Adidas cologne and other fragrances under the Adidas brand.

On August 9, 1987, Barry E. Shipp, who had cofounded Jovan, announced that he and several partners had purchased Beecham Cosmetics from the Beecham Group, a British public limited company. Beecham Cosmetics was then called Quintessence. The license for Adidas fragrances was acquired by Coty in the late 1990s.
